Mitgefühl in Aktion is only active in the sense of promoting development cooperation (according to the tax code §52 paragraph 2 point 15).
Mitgefühl in Aktion has set itself the goal of providing long-term, but above all sustainable support for people in need, so that they can finance themselves
in the future and live independent and self-determined lives.
For this to manifest, it is necessary to put compassion into action first in crisis situations that involve e.g. as hunger and poverty. The focus is on improved,
sustainable methods of food production and distribution. We concentrate on small and medium-sized projects, which are primarily intended to help girls and women to sustainably end their
dependencies in the long term.
Mitgefühl in Aktion works exclusively with reputable and experienced local partners in the appropriate communities and countries.
Mitgefühl in Aktion cannot, due to the size of its own organization and the resources at its disposal, concern itself with catastrophes of a severe magnitude.
Mitgefühl in Aktion expects organizations wishing to apply for funding to submit a completed and relevant application form. Domestic sponsors of the projects
must be tax-exempt according to the German A.O.
Mitgefühl in Aktion allocates the funds at a meeting of the appropriate body (board and/or project advisory board together with our patron).
Mitgefühl in Aktion demands regular reports from its project partners on the progress of the implementation of the individual projects.
Mitgefühl in Aktion awards funds regardless of ethnicity, religion, origin/nationality, sexual orientation or gender.
Mitgefühl in Aktion acts charitably only and does not attempt to spread Buddhist teachings or to change the beliefs of the recipients.
Mitgefühl in Aktion does not encourage the construction or renovation of religious sites such as temples or monasteries. Likewise, no specifically religious
activities are encouraged.
Mitgefühl in Aktion intends to work with other organizations, including other religious organizations, on a purely philanthropic basis. No missionary
intentions are pursued. The goal is to fight hunger and poverty in the world together.
MiA does not support any programs that breed animals for slaughter or entail the breeding of animals for commercial purposes. However, we do not insist that our
supported diet programs must be exclusively vegetarian, any more than the Buddha himself required his followers to be.
Mitgefühl in Aktion also supports government agencies, but not any political parties or military/paramilitary organizations.
Mitgefühl in Aktion furthermore does not help a deceased or family on an individual basis.
